I am working on a website as a test before I re-do my site and I am getting really good speed numbers.
But on Google Developers web analysis, for mobile, it give me only 62/100 https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fworldbikegirl.com%2F
Being the main problem the lack of optimization of the images, there is something I am missing? How can I improve it?

You have two issues here

- Both the images that are mentioned in google page speed are less than 1160px wide. WordPress can not upscale images, make sure all your featured images are more than 1160*580px
- Looks like you are using a aching plugin. Switch to w3tc and enable user agent groups to have sperate caches for desktops, mobiles and tablets.
1. If pictures are 1160px wide they re-escale? Awesome. I will fix it right away.
2. I am trying the cache plugin of the hosting Siteground. But I will try w3tc as you recommend.October 11, 2014 at 2:17 am #30325
I went ahead with my main blog and it says as well that the images from the slider are not compressed for mobile, and they are 1160px.
PS. I have configured the cache and everything is the same, but I am going to disable the cache for now because it breaks my other sites in the multisite which are with another theme. I will activate it again when I get it ready and put it in the other sites.October 14, 2014 at 5:25 am #30398
Doesn’t look like you enabled user agent groups.
If you don’t your desktop site may be served for tablets and mobiles vice versa depending on the cached copy available at that time.
If you enable user agent groups, it will save 3 separate caches for desktops, mobiles and tablets.October 14, 2014 at 10:39 am #30412
Where I am supposed to enable user agent groups? In the cache or in the theme? Any instructions about it somewhere? Thanks!
This is ticked: Design options – layout options – Enable mobile layout
