SWIFT comes with 6 built in widgets giving you more control, flexibility and cutting the need for additional plugins to achieve those tasks. Those six widgets are..

SWIFT Tabs

This widget shows recent posts, comments and tag cloud in the form of tabs. Ideally used in one of the wide sidebars or footer. Colours of this widget can be customized from the design options page.

SWIFT Email Subscription

When you are using SWIFT don’t use a text widget to add you “Subscribe by Email option”, instead use this awesomely styled widget. You don’t have to enter the full HTML, just enter your feedburner ID in SWIFT Options->general settings page for this widget to work. Colours of this widget and the chicklet (counter) can be customized from the design options page.

SWIFT 125*125 ads

After you fill the image and destination url’s in Swift Options -> AD Management page, you should add this widget to the sidebars or footers.

SWIFT Text widget without padding and border (This is my fav)

This widget is ideal for having 160 wide skyscraper ad in narrow sidebars and 330px wide large rectangular in wide sidebars. Make sure you match the borders and background of the ads with the other widgets. For example if you are using the default colour scheme your google ad setting should look like this

This widget can also be used to add Twitter and Facebook widgets, just paste the code you get from respective sites in this widget. (Make sure you set the width correctly while getting the code from twitter/facebook, 160px for narrow sidebar and 340px for wide sidebar)

SWIFT Home page only text

Sometimes you may want some of the links and ads displayed only on the homepage, this widget is for that purpose.

SWIFT Popular posts

This lists your most popular posts, you can show the post thumbnails next to the post titles. Popularity of the post is calculated based on the number of comments it gets. If you don’t have comments on any of your posts, it will not show any posts.

  1. I wanted to know how to put an image in a sidebar, on only two of the pages of the website, not including the homepage. I love your theme! Thanks so much! I put up a text widget on the left sidebar, the narrow SB in a centered layout, with an html img tag to put an image there. Is there any way to make the image only appear on two of the sub-pages of the website, like for example, to only appear in a certain post-category? Would i have to alter the php code? Thanks if you could help!
