Upgrading from Swift v6.0.9 to v6.1.0

In Swift v6.1.0 we added separate styling options for navigation above logo and below logo and clubbed design and site options into a single array. With these changes the new version can not read the options from older version, so we have to import the options.

Don’t worry, its a very simple two minute job. Before updating the theme..

  1. Download the “Import options form older Swift” plugin from here.
  2. Install the plugin.
  3. Activate it.
  4. Delete it.

The options will be imported on activation and you can delete it after activation.

Note: This plugin is only for version between 6.0.0 and 6.0.9, you can not import from versions before that.

  1. I’m on 6.1. And I’m a fully paid-up member who bought version 6 from you. How come we’re not the first to get notices of upgrades? My Swift settings tab still isn’t telling me that an upgrade has been released, but apparently the rest of the world has been informed. Doesn’t feel good.

Also, where may I find instructions for upgrading from 6.1.0 to 6.1.4?

    1. Update information was sent to all the users of premium version, unless they unsubscribed from our newsletter.
      Check your spam folder.

There are no special instructions for upgrading from 6.1.0 to 6.1.4. Upgrade like any other wordpress theme.

  2. I’m sorry how do you upgrade to 6.1.0 after activating and deleting the plugin?
You install again Swift with the new version or there is a specific way to upgrade?

  3. What about if we’ve made any adjustments to the code? I remember making a few tweaks based on advice in the forum but for the life of me I can’t remember what I did. I presume these will be overwritten if we upgrade?

    Thanks,

    Luke

    1. install the plugin, activate it, delete it and then upgrade to v6.1.0.
If you did the other way, don’t worry. Just be sure to remove the plugin after you activated it.

      1. Thanks! I hadn’t done anything yet.

In another topic, when I float over my Gravitar image(or yours also). it says that I’m “gravitarmyteryman”. I do have a Gravitar profile. Is this something broken?

        1. Never noticed it, thanks for pointing it out.
Thats a side effect of using hovercards and delayed loading in combination. Will fix it in the next version.
