Older version of internet explorer don't support fav Icon.
Which version are u using?
My favicon shows on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
It doesn't show on Internet Explorer!?

Could try clearing your internet explorer temp files, even then I've found my browser to be really stubborn and not show the favicon for ages if I update it.
I've cleared all temp files, history and cookies.
Doesn't change anything - UGH!
I think its sticks to not wanting to change when you have bookmarked your site with the old favicon or no favicon, and its really stubborn for refreshing with the new one. I had the problem and removed my bookmark to my site, removed temp files etc, and kept restarting the program and re-bookmarking, and it eventually refreshed.
Zooper is correct, It's hard to clear fav icon cache in IE.
The problem is just on your computer, nothing to worry about.
Favicon will be displayed on all other PC's
