I activated the default theme twenty twelve theme and checked the post editor.
Problem exists with the default theme to.

It's not a problem with Swift, i tried some debugging but it hard to work on a admin with different local and that to rtl

Hi - I have this problem too! Iam using 3.4.1 and when I activated the 2011 theme, the visual editor functioned normally. As soon as I reactivated swift there was a problem again. The VE has not gone - it just displays the HTML in white. I also use Tinymce advanced but it will not load when using my swift theme. This problem just appeared yesterday out of the blue. No changes, no updates etc

Just discovered that this seems to be Chrome/Firefox issue. Everything works fine in IE 9
