Nothing showing up on the slider

I am not able to bring any of my featured posts to the slider..Help me out...I also wanted to know how I could put the google ads here on my site...

The slider I think I can help you with. Does the category you are using for your featured posts have 2 words in the slug? Something like "nameof-mycategory", or and not just "mycategory". If not, just change the slug of your featured and it should show up.
