SWIFT three column layout

I planned to release the new version of SWIFT with all the features described here in the first week of june, unfortunately my 3 year old laptop ceased to work. So I wont be able to work on the update till I get my new laptop. I’m releasing what I have so far, I hope you like this update.

The new version includes..

Three column layout
New footer style a with a link to the top. (Footer design inspired from IntenseBlogging.Com)
Widget without any padding and borders, this widget can be used in all the sidebars and footer.

The new widget is ideal for having 160 wide skyscraper ad in narrow sidebars and 330px wide large rectangular in wide sidebars. Make sure you match the borders and background of the ads with the other widgets. For example if you are using the default colour scheme your google ad setting should look like this

New footer design in SWIFT

PS: Initially I thought of releasing the 3 column version as a premium theme, but I couldn’t convince myself to release it as a premium theme. For me watching lot of people use my theme is more joyful than money, but I have to pay my hosting and internet bills and get a replacement for my laptop. Unlike SWIFT they come with a price tag,do send a small donation if SWIFT saved you the cost of buying a premium theme.

Hi there, I'm using the Swift theme on my blog and cannot adjust the margins around my floating graphics. There's no margin at all right now and I cannot find the coding to adjust it. In the following post you can see an example of how the text bumps right into the graphic that is floating to the right. http://www.tribalblogs.net/2010/12/06/were-having-a-carnival/ Do you have any suggestions?

When I am viewing a single post I cannot find anything on the top or bottom of the post that says "older entries" or "newer entries." I can see it on the main page where a list of the ten most recent posts are. I can click on previous or newer and go to the next list of ten posts, but I cannot do that on individual posts. Is there some coding to make that appear on the single posts? Thank you!

I can't seem to get the posts to open up to the full width in either the magazine layout or blog layout. That's using both left and right sidebars. I may have to change the content width in the stylesheet but I'm not that adept in the CSS field — then again, I'm not afraid to play with things I shouldn't touch either. So lay it on me. Also, I would love for my images to show up in their entirety in magazine layout...any ideas? And another thing...why the heke does it take so long for this website to load moreso than others? (Just curious, no answer required) Also, I plan on making a donation but not if I can't use the theme. I really would prefer to use this theme. Charlie

  Thanks :) By full width do you mean full post content? For that you have to disable excerpts on home / archive page options, and select the blog layout. Showing full images in magazine layout is complicated and can not be explained here. Lately there is lot of load on the server where SwiftThemes.Com is hosted, so it's taking long to load. I should upgrade the server.

Nice one, thanks for making it free! I need to put a new site up this week so I'll give this one a try as the two column thing was my only real annoyance with the theme. I'm planning on using the right column for adsense... I'll send you a bit of my google moneys as a donation when the payment comes through, as your theme just works perfect for me :D

Sorry to read that your laptop gave way. It's a real nuisance to have to abruptly switch machines. Good luck. Hope the thousands users of your theme will feel sympathetic and donate to help you with this purchase. It's my 1st hour on Wordpress so it's a bit premature for me. Need to see if I can handle it. If I do and use your theme on a production site, I surely will buy you a few megabytes of hard disk.
